Responsible Adult Course

The Responsible Adult Course enables job seekers to gain the skills necessary to work with children in licensed child care facilities or schools in BC.  It is also required for those operating home based daycares.

Through interactive sessions, this 20 hour online training covers basic concepts about child development from birth to 12 years of age, child guidance, health, safety and nutrition.  Now available in video format!

The government of British Columbia has now mandated Responsible Adult Course training for all individuals working with children.

This Online Responsible Adult course meets the BC Child Care Licensing Act requirements for individuals to have at least 20 hours of childcare training including safety, child development and nutrition in order to work with children.

Our Responsible Adult Course online training qualifies job seekers in BC to gain the experience necessary for working with children.  The best part is that the course is self paced.  Students can start the course when it’s convenient for them, and complete when they are ready.  There is no time limit.

Upon payment, students receive a welcome email with login instructions.  The student can click the link in the email to get started on the lessons.  There are practice quizzes throughout the course, and a multiple choice final exam at the end.  All portions of the course are completed online, and there are no extra workbooks needed.

After completing the final exam, students will be emailed a certificate of completion, which can be used to gain employment in licensed child care facilities

Student Testimonial

I took the Responsible Adult Course to become a daycare substitute. The course was straightforward and very informative. I was extremely pleased with how easy it was to follow and the testing process was easy. I had a question for the instructor and she got back to me within the same day and eased my fears and answered my inquiries. I cannot recommend this business enough!
